Hotel Fire Safety: Steps That You Should Take to Ensure That Your Stay is a Safe One
Almost without exception, each of us has traveled away from our homes and stayed in a hotel, motel, or a bed and breakfast establishment. Oftentimes we become "relaxed" while away as we fail to make ourselves aware of the dangers a fire presents especially in an unfamiliar environment. Let's take a look at some of the things you should do to minimize your risks while away from home.

Hawaii Family Vacation Prices Continue to Skyrocket in 2005
Travel-Hawaii.com’s Hawaii Family Vacation Cost Index is projected to increase by nearly 2.5% in 2005. This annual index measures the total dollar amount spent by a typical family of four, for a seven-night Hawaii vacation.
The index is based on the average total expenditures per day, per person, according to
the Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT.) The DBEDT
calculations include all monies spent on lodging, car rental, fuel and parking, taxis,
shopping and souvenirs, meals, drinks, entertainment, inter-island flights, and
activities. This number is then added to an airfare price average, which is...

Kenya has always brought out the romantic in its overseas visitors, from the days of
the early European settlers to the international travelers that now arrive daily from
all parts of the globe to explore the country for themselves. As a honeymoon
destination, Kenya is among the top in the list. It is a country that boasts an
enviable range of dramatic landscapes inhabited by exotic and wild animals, and has a
surprising number of paradise locations on its Indian Ocean coast. An advantage of a
wedding in Kenya is that everything will be done for the couple except saying “I do”;
from invitations, marriage license to registrar, photographer to entertainment.
So whether a beach wedding with...

Culinary Star in the Nation's Capital
Washington , D.C. has been harboring a secret for the last decade; a secret that is getting harder and harder to keep from the nation. Alhough D.C. was noted as a magnet for excellent ethnic cuisine in the past, it never savored a reputation for fine dining.
Maybe it was the conservative streak prevalent in the city and surrounding suburbs, or
maybe it was a reputation of having loads of lowly paid federal workers lacking
sophisticated palates and owning tightly zipped wallets. Whatever the reason, the sidewalks of D.C. basically folded at night. Those were the days when gourmands in search of great food traveled to the likes of Philadelphia, Chicago, and New York City.
A secret no more! Over the last decade, Washington, D.C. dining has arrived on the
culinary scene in a big way, easily competing with culinary greats such as San
Francisco and New York. One of the more innovative and latest entries into the world
of sophisticated dining is Ceiba — a Latin-American fusion restaurant with contemporary flair
and urban chic. The restaurant’s name is the same as the magnificent umbrella-shaped
ceiba tree. Native throughout the American ...
The Nomadic Cowboy - 2005 Gear Review
I grew up in the "Cowboy State" of Wyoming, and my cousins are all professional rodeo stars, so evey year I attend the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada, just to see how many bones they have broken this year.
And every year the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show (at the Venician Hotel) keeps on growing,
and I always stumble across new and unique ranch gear, usually made of leather. This
year canvas caught my interest with David Ellis' Canvas Products, a complete line of
range tents, and really wonderful bedrolls. I don't know how many times I have slept
out under the stars on the hard ground, but with Dave's cool canvas bedrolls, it will
be a whole lot more comfort next time...
