Ask Sweden fans what's their favourite spot in Sweden and most will say there are too many to mention. On one thing they will agree: besides the beautiful capital Stockholm, the country’s main attraction is its landscape. But there's more.
Sweden is one of Europe's best kept secrets. The country has so much to offer. Besides, it's very affordable nowadays and the climate is much better than most people think.

Boston’s Omni Parker House Hotel
Founded by Henry D. Parker in 1855, the Omni Parker House (then known as simply The Parker House) has been a Boston resident for over 150 years, located at the junction of Tremont and School Streets, and one of the oldest of Boston's elegant inns. and the longest continuously operating hotel in the United States. It was here that the brightest lights of America's Golden Age of Literature—writers like Emerson, Thoreau, Hawthorne, and Longfellow, regularly met for conversation in the legendary nineteenth century Saturday Club.
Baseball greats like Babe Ruth and Ted Williams wined, dined, and unwound at the Parker House. And it was here too, where generations of local and national politicians, including Ulysses S. Grant, James Michael Curley (Boston's Mayor of the poor), Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and William Jefferson Clinton, assembled for private meetings, press conferences, and power breakfasts.
The Omni Parker House is close to Boston's Theater District, and it has played an

San Francisco’s Monaco Hotel – A Bay City Luxury Retreat
When you check in at the Hotel Monaco in San Francisco, it's like boarding an intimate cruise ship of the early 1900s and stepping back to the heady days of Hemingway and Christie. Get a good look at the registration desk — it's built to look like an ocean steamer trunk.
Then take a quick stroll to the right, past the elevators into the elegant sitting room. Fanciful furnishings, high-backed sofas, and a crackling fire all make for intimate spaces for private conversations. Join your fellow guests in the other sitting room just past the old marble grand staircase for wine and cheese in the afternoons. There you can have your tarot cards read and get a neck and back massage. The decorations evoke the days of elegant travel. The art deco flavor and high ceilings made us feel like we were giant pieces in a grand Monopoly game.
We loved the décor of our room — French, fun, and boy-oh-boy were the fabrics expensive
and fine. So nice, in fact, that if you smoke in your room, the hotel charges an extra
$250 cleaning charge. Like all San Francisco hotels built at this time, the Hotel
Monaco has smaller rooms than you might expect from a modern luxury hotel. But don’t

Rockland Maine’s Old Granite Inn
Every year in an Outside Magazine readers' poll, Rockland, Maine ranks among the top 100 best small towns to live in. This is the town where the then controversial 1957 Lana Turner soap opera flick, Peyton Place, was filmed — back when the most dangerous thing in a small town was . . . gossip! The producers wanted to give small, hometown America a risqué shock that today is a comical celluloid version of homespun Americana, a mild comparison to what is on the Internet today.
Maine joins only one other state in the lower 48, the only state to do so. It is the only state with a single syllable. Life in Maine is a simple life, not many complexities. Rockland has not changed much since the '50s. I guess that is why the PP producers chose it for their mighty cult genre.
I was sitting in a local café one fine summer day, gazing upon the black and white
photos on the wall of a bygone era of the historic Main Street. There used to be an
electric trolley line down the main drag, and the gossip is they are bringing it back.
I can see Peyton Place in the frozen-in-time snapshots. Rockland is still a great
place to live. Main Street is now on the National Register of Historic Places, with
most of the old brick buildings housing ice cream shops, bookstores, cafés and bars,

San Francisco’s Square Deal – The Handlery Hotel
San Francisco is a city of unique landmarks: the Golden Gate Bridge , Alcatraz , Lombard Street, former mayor Willie Brown — the list goes on. Take one look around and you know you could be nowhere else in the world.
Think of San Francisco ’s hilly streets and you’ll think of cable cars. There’s no more picturesque way to travel in this city, and if your hotel happens to be right by one of the three cable car lines, that’s a big plus. The Handlery Union Square Hotel (351 Geary Street) is a classy European-styled property in the heart of downtown San Francisco. It’s surprisingly affordable, given its elegance and location. Another plus is the hotel’s general manager, who seems a bit of a landmark himself.

Santa Catalina - Island of Dreams

Celebrate at the Beach – Laguna Cliffs Marriott in Dana Point
